Does your mother in law calls and ask you about her grandchild or do you have to call her or see her for her to ask you ?

Edit: whoa with the comments so far I just realized my MIL isn't the only one who doesn't call but also does complain when I don't tell her what's going on. Which I feel like shouldn't tell her because she could call as well and I could also call her and let her know but I'm the one who always calls her she could never 🤦‍♀️
