Did you find going from 1 to 2 kids was a huge added expense ?

My husband and I were talking today and we were thinking of possibly trying again for our second. Our little one is 14 months and ideally we would like them to be close in age. Especially considering we’re thinking only have 1-2 more children. If our next is a girl we’re done though 😂
But I’m a stay at home mama, and he’s self employed so money is always up and down with him. We’re just really worried about expenses. Would you say it’s another huge added expense? Because honestly we didn’t find our lo to be that expensive. I mean a little, but we were definitely expecting it to be more expensive. I buy diapers and wipes on amazon, so we save a lot there. Plus I always buy clothes on sale. 
What are your thoughts?

Our biggest expense concern is childcare. If you are a sahm then I think the transition should not be too bad.

If it's the same sex, I find it to be much cheaper as you can a decent amount from baby number one. I do find going from 1 to 2 is harder than any number, though. After we had our second, adding 3 and 4 was a breeze. We are now expecting baby 5.

Nope had everything we needed already - reused all the clothes and share wipe packets so really only diapers

My husband and I wanted our children to be close in age as well our daughter was 7 months in January 2019 when we found out we were expecting our second baby. We now have 2 beautiful daughters our daughter turned 1 years old in June of this year. Our second baby was born September 25 2019 so our children are 15 months apart. Since we have 2 girls it wasn't a huge expense since they can share stuff. We kept clothes and diapers from our first born to save money and we thankfully have saved alot of money.

We just had our second and honestly besides the hospital bill for having him, it doesn't seem that big of a difference. The most expensive thing is buying formula (breastfeeding didn't work out). But having to buy extra diapers doesn't seem like much, both of them are on the same Pampers sensitive wipes so no extra charge there. I mean besides buying some new baby things beforehand, to us there isn't that much of a expense change. Not enough to hurt us anyways or make us have to cancel something else out just to cover baby stuff.

I’m currently pregnant(22weeks) with our second( he’s our Rainbow baby boy) I’m excited but somewhat worried about going from 1 kid to 2. Our son is 10 so it’ll be a pretty big age gap. But there’s a lot of plus’s with the age gap. He’s older and is independent,He’s in school now, And he actually understands that there’s a lot that’ll be changing. And he’s excited to have a new little brother.(:  It’s a big change for us all but it’s going to be so great and so worth it.
