When to announce your pregnancy

I miscarried very early in February. I had no symptoms for me to believe I was pregnant. This pregnancy is the complete opposite. We have set the time to tell our parents on Thanksgiving. And everyone else probably not until 8 weeks. If not longer.

P.s. I work with my inlaws..  it's going to be tricky to keep it a secret!

Do whatever you feel comfortable with but I’m a firm believer that if one set of parents find out, the other should find out shortly after. My husband and I both have great relationships with our parents but my mom is my best friend. I don’t feel like my MIL shouldn’t know what’s going on in her sons life, just like my mom knows all about mine. 
That being said, they say wait for after 12 weeks for a reason and I’m sorry you have already had to experience that. I have been very open about my miscarriages but we never announced before 12 weeks and I’m happy we didn’t. It lets me decide who and when to tell about our history (vs sharing with everyone on social media).

I announced at 13.5 weeks this time and I wish I’d waited longer. I hated all the comments like ‘oh so you’re barely pregnant!’
Next time I will wait til I’m at least 18 weeks.

We announced it right away to our families but we’ll keep it a secret until week 12-13. We’ll tell our friends at New Year’s Eve 😃

announce whenever you feel comfortable. i didn’t announce on social media until i was 30 weeks because i was really starting to show. you don’t even have to announce at all.

I announced my pregnancy at 4 weeks and i ended up having a miscarriage at 10 weeks. It’s all up to you whichever you feel comfortable doing.
