Do I need to hold my pee and or not drink water beforehand? The receptionist didn’t give me any instructions

It shouldn’t matter, just make sure your bladder is full when you go in because you’ll have to give a urine sample. Assuming that you’re probably around 8-12 weeks, it should still definitely show positive regardless.

No need to hold but Midwife said to catch the midstream urine. Not the first squirt or the last squirt.

At my docs you do a tribe sample at ever single appointment. 
I never held my pee for it but did try to make sure I was hydrated enough that I could provide a sample each time.
