I rarely talk to my little baby bump. When he moves around I will react by sometimes stroking the parts he’s at. Or when I first wake up (and he’s leaning on one side) I stroke it. But I rarely talk to him. I feel kinda silly doing it. But by not doing it I also feel like I don’t have the maternal instinct like I’m supposed to have. Which really makes me worried about if I’ll have it when he’s out.

I’ve seen my mom and my MIL talk to my belly, but I can’t seem to have the same enthusiasm.

I’m also still paranoid that something could happen. I don’t even refer to him by his name. Only as “baby”. (Despite giving him a name several months ago)

Is that weird?
