I feel like I hear a lot of horror stories of being induced. I think I will have to be induced based on health risks. Anyone out there have an okay experience?

Makes me extra nervous for what’s to come each time I hear how bad it is for some. 😫 I’m almost 34 weeks.

My induction lasted 7 hours from when my water was broken (beginning of my induction) until Baby B (I had twins) was born. It was super smooth and easy. I loved how “in control” it seemed. I’m actually nervous to not have an induction with future pregnancies because of the element of not really knowing when and how everything will do down.

My cousin had 2 inductions and one natural. She actually preferred the inductions!

I was induced at 39+5 from the time they started me on the pitocin to time of birth was 9hours. They broke my water 4hours in and I got the epidural 6hours in and pushed for a little over an hour.

I was induced with both of my kids, most recently a year ago. Both times were GREAT experiences. I was able to relax, hang out in my hospital room and watch tv with my husband :) The thing I loved about being induced is that I was told every step of the way what was happening. I feel like if I went into labor naturally, I’d become really anxious as I already suffer from anxiety.

My induction was 25 1/2 hours and wasn’t that bad. The worst part of an induction for me was the 10 days following when you get so so so swollen from the endless amount of IV bags and pitocin.

I was induced at 39 weeks exactly. It went so smoothly!! From the time the IV went into my hand to when my son was born was only 12 hours. I pushed for only 1 hour. I had an epidural 5 hours in. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I had one bad induction and one good induction. My good induction is one where I took control and ran the show . My daughter the nurses were very pushy and the drs demanding so to speak. My son my second induction I ran everything. Other then the fact it was a emergency induction I told them no pitocin , I told them what meds I wanted and didn’t want ect. 
So just depends each situation is different . My first the induction was quicker 6 hours my son he second induction was 25 hours.

I had the same fear because I had never heard a good induction story. My water broke at 2:30 am and because I wasn’t contracting they induced me at 11 am. I didn’t really start to feel anything until around 1 pm. Epidural around 6 pm and at around 9 pm I was feeling nothing and was worried my labor had stopped. They checked me and I was 10 cm and ready to push and he was born at 9:55 pm. So I actually had a pretty good induction experience. It’s not exactly what I would of planned. Because the medicine can increase the baby’s heart rate I had to stay on the monitor and couldn’t really move around which is why I think I gave in to the epidural because I just had to lay there and take in the pain but I wasn’t in labor for days which was my fear!
