Renting, landlord drama
So Iv been living with my boyfriend for a year. He’s been renting this apartment from his cousin for almost three years. I he pays 700 for a 2 bed, 1 bath. We rent the upstairs unite and within the last year our landlord moved into the downstairs unit. We knew they had an older beagle. He’s kinda annoying, wants to say hi and play fetch every time he sees someone. But over all a nice dog, we never minded him. Well when they moved in they bought a German Shepard puppy. His two kids are at school all day, him and his wife are at work. So this puppy is just in the yard all day. He knocks over the 4 year old. The 4 year old is to the point she won’t go in the yard by herself. An adult has to walk her from the door to the car. The 9 year old is also scarred of the dog. The dog has bit her several times. The dog has bitten and actually ripped the 11 year olds sweater. The dog constantly nips at my 1 years feet when I’m carrying him or biting pulling on my sweater/ work clothes. My boyfriend finally called our landlord and just told him he needs help with the dogs because his kid are terrified. And the landlord pretty much told him “if you don’t like it here leave.” I called my mom like I do almost every night and was complaining about the dogs. Which honestly is a frequent conversation, and I guess the landlord heard and called my boyfriend back and was like “if you say anything about the dogs, I’ll tell people you leave the 11 year old home alone on Friday nights:” like what does one have to do with the other. Anyways sorry for the long post just wondering what you guys would do in this situation.
