Diaper rash

My LO can’t win with diaper rash. I feel like he always has a little but man this one is awful. Bourdeaux and aquaphor don’t work. We’ve been using triple paste (that seems to work best) but it’s just bumpy and not getting better this time. What could be causing it to be worse this time??
