Do you turn the light on when you pee in the middle of the night?

I’ve been reading posts about mamas waking up at all hours of the night and seeing _____. Mucus plug. Blood. Bloody show. Etc. and every time all I can think is wow she turns the light on to pee at night lol So I’m curious if this is normal or I’m just weird. Because I just go in the complete dark otherwise I wake up too much to fall back asleep 😂😂

Usually no. But in 3rd trimester yes, just so I can check for bleeding and normal/abnormal discharge.

I would pee in the dark, but I get scared lol usually I am half asleep and my brain does weird things with the darkness. Maybe I need to get a night light... It would be nice to go without the super bright lights.

I go in the dark. I’ll occasionally turn the light on if something seems or feels off/wrong

I bring my cell phone and use the flashlight so I don’t wake up my husband. Our bathroom light shines right into his face when on and when he’s in bed

I have an irrational fear that there will be a snake in my toilet that will bite my bum (but the fear only happens when it’s dark) so I have to turn on the light to check that the toilet is snake free

Ehh. Kind of. I have a very dim light on in my bathroom overnight so it's not completely dark but it's not like the light is all the way on. It's enough that if there were obviously something weird on the paper I'd be able to see it a little (and then probably would turn the light on more).

I have a nightlight but my toilet is separated by a wall and has a separate switch. I only turn on the light if I feel like it's "too much" when I wipe, I can't risk waking up 😭
