Waiting until 18 weeks for ultrasound?

So I had my first appointment with my OB today and they said they don’t do an ultrasound until 18-20 weeks. Anyone else have this experience?

It’s not uncommon unless you’re high risk they usually don’t do an ultrasound until your anatomy scan. The only ultrasound I had was my anatomy scan at 20 weeks with both my boys.

my first was at 12 weeks, anatomy scan at 23 and then a final one at 38. depends on where you’re getting your care at. they may just do an anatomy scan
