During my second birth while I was trying to push apparently. I didn’t notice at all and my husband said the midwives just wiped it away and carried on.

No, thank Christ. A year after my daughter was born was the onset of my ulcerative colitis, I switch between constipation and diarrhea constantly, never “normal“. So this will be one of my biggest fears if I ever give birth again (obviously it’s a superficial fear and the only thing that’s important is that my baby is safe, but ￼you know what I meant)
Fortunately because of my disease￼￼ I have become extremely comfortable with administering at home saline enemas to myself, so the plan is to do an enema at home before heading to the hospital, hopefully that will clear everything out beforehand 🤣

Nope, my first pregnancy the nurse put me an enema before they induce my labor. So for my second labor i asked for the enema.
