HCG levels rising days after chemical pregnancy ???

Is this normal? Took a test a week and half ago, was pregnant but low levels, they continued to drop within 4 days .. then heavy bleeding and bad cramping Friday night until now, bloodwork this morning says my level increased! It was 53 last Wednesday now it’s 67.. nurse told me the doc wants me in for a sonogram tomorrow.

It probably went up and is in the process of dropping back down still. It’s supposed to double every 24-48 hours so it’s probably not a viable pregnancy if you are still pregnant. Ectopic is a possibility too which may be why they’re wanting an ultrasound because low or slow rising hcg is a big red flag for that.

Maybe you had multiples and lost one? Not sure if thats even a possibility or how it would work but I hope the sonogram tomorrow clears it up. And if it is a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy Im sorry for your loss and hopefully you’re able to experience a healthy pregnancy soon 💛

I hope yours isnt a chemicsl but i had a miscarriage and mine rose for 2 months while i was trying to let my body pass baby naturally, eventually i needed D&C then my numbers dropped
