Test before Thanksgiving?

So this is my 6th cycle TTC #2. I’m losing patience but trying to stay positive.

My period is due Sunday (fingers crossed it doesn’t show)

Here’s my scenario...

Thanksgiving is huge with my husbands family. All of his cousins and their husbands and wives come over and it usually goes into the early morning.

Normally I would start testing by now, searching for any sign of a line. But I’m trying to decide if I should just wait it out until after Thursday. Yes, I will be drinking. My biggest concern is that one of his cousins just had their 3rd baby a few weeks ago and I’m 90% sure one of his other cousins will be announcing her pregnancy that night. I’m afraid that if I start testing early and am not seeing any signs of a second line, that I will be in a rotten mood and just be feeling sorry for myself. I feel like maybe I’ll be able to keep the hopeful feeling if I don’t know for sure either way.

Would you wait to test?
