Promise rings?

So my boyfriend and I have been together just over a year, we’re in a long distance relationship but try our best to see each other as much as possible (7/8 hour drive) and we both work full time. I’m completely in love with this man and we have planned our futures out, would it be too much to get us matching promise rings for Christmas? HELP PLEASE.

All I’ve heard is “I”. I didn’t hear a “we” in any of these plans. I don’t suggest you do that. He might not be on the same page as you. He might not want to wear a promise ring. Speak with him about it before you purchase them.

He may like an engraved silver chain bracelet. It may make him feel more comfortable if you’re iffy on the ring , he’d probably be more comfortable wearing it too

I wouldn’t get one because I’m not a teenager. Try suggesting promise rings in your next phone conversation. Ask about it casually. Maybe even use the old line of, “My friend is thinking about getting promise rings for her and her BF, what do you think?” If he seems to really like the idea, buy them. If he seems ambivalent or says something really negative, don’t buy them.

I don't see the point unless you can't get get engaged.  My husband and I did because we couldn't announce an engagement due to serious problems between the families we where trying to work out.
