Chore List and Punishment

So my husband and I rent a 2 bed 1 bath house with a 2 car attached garage for $550 a month. His brother and his girlfriend asked if they could stay in our spare room for awhile so we said sure that fine! Fast forward about 5 months we now have another person staying at our house, they sleep on our couch (it’s super big and comfortable lol and they don’t mind.)

Anyway from the moment Adams brother and his girlfriend moved in they don’t really help with chores around the house. They always dirty a lot of dishes on the stove and in the sink and they just leave them there for someone else to clean. They use the bathroom just like we do and they use our washer and dryer as well. They payed half the utilities and rent when it was just them and us. Now they pay half the amount they were paying because we have another person living with us.

I work 60-70 hours a week and my husband works 40 hours. My BIL works around 40 and his girlfriend is a senior in high school and she works like 15 hours a week. She just comes home and sleeps or lays in bed. But she had the audacity to tell one of her co workers that no one around the house pulls there weight and it a mess. That ticked me off!

So my husband and I are going to make a chore chart and if they don’t do the chore we are going to charge them extra for rent. (My mom actually came up with the idea lol) Because I’m tired of cleaning up after everyone and getting shit on😒 and no one pulling their own weight
