DAE have the WORST TIME W/ LO’s NAILS!?

I wrestle my daughter to trim her nails using an electric nail file while straining myself for what seems like forever and she STILL finds a way to scratch her face 😭
Am I missing something here? Some hidden nail trimming secret?

I do it while breastfeeding which helps a lot but sometimes he still squirms and makes it difficult

I get her dad to hold her pacifier in her mouth. I have her during in my lap with her back to my stomach. I hold on tight to get hand while she pulls away and clip with precision. She's my fourth child and I have to admit that I cut one of my son's fingers twice because he literally threw a fit every single time. At six years old he started buying his nails. He told me if he would bite them I wouldn't have to cut them. We made a deal that he would wash his hands before biting them and I wouldn't cut them anymore, but I had to trim his toe nails. I told him he couldn't bite on his toes. After six years of struggling I felt this was fair. Good luck!

My girl is sooooo difficult. Her nails were pretty long and she never scratched herself. I cut her nails two days ago and today she has a big scratch on her nose?? 😐

I use a baby nail clipper and file them when we’re taking her a bath since she loves taking baths and my husband pours the water on her belly while I do it no squirming at all

Try the Fridababy nail clippers! They are AMAZING! I’m a FTM and I’ve never once nicked him and it takes no time.  But my LO is really good about letting me hold his hands and doesn’t pull or move too much.
