Sooo back story: about three years ago (ironically around thanksgiving) me my son and my husband visited my mom before we even walk through the door she leans down and kisses my son right on the lips and when she comes back up I notice this big cold sore! At the time he was teething ! Will two days later he is running fever crying and has thick crust on his poor baby teeth I take him in and they tell me he has Herpes ☹️ I’m beyond devastated fast forward till I he has never had a so much as a cold sore the first time he was diagnosed it was just crust in his mouth never a sore but I know he will always be a carrier for it he is 4 years old now & im just wondering if since he has this dose that mean he might get Genital Herpes sometimes as well? Also if anyone could just Educate me a little on this and tips I should do if he ever dose get a cold sore tia

Also with his new baby sister he always wants to love on her and kiss her I’m always so scared he as almost two when he got it and it was really pain fully she is only 4 months should I make sure he dosnt kiss her at all ? Even though he never has a cold sore ..
