Opinions?

So I’ve been talking to this one guy for a while now (a little over 3 months), he seemed very interested in the beginning, especially when I wasn’t giving him the time of day. Once I finally agreed to a date, I felt we hit it off. We’ve met up twice now, each time he picks me up. We spend what feels like quality time together. However recently he seems less interested, probably because I told him I wasn’t ready to hookup. He used to call me almost every night while he was at work. Now I haven’t received any phone calls from him( he’s not a big texter and prefers phone calls). We texted like normal thanksgiving and Friday, however come the weekend I hear nothing from him. He’s a complete ghost, but he messaged me this afternoon like nothing. I’m unsure of how to respond. Of course, I was left a little confused this weekend and quite upset. I don’t want to be childish and ignore him. I understand life happens and we aren’t anything serious. Does anyone have any opinions on how I should respond or if I should just call it off all together. Am I wasting my time?
