Doctors note

I came down with flu or something. I called into work, I just got this seasonal job and I only called in because it’s a requirement to report all illnesses. They said they wanted a doctors note, so I made myself go anyways because I don’t have insurance and can’t afford it. I explained this to them and the manager sent me home anyways. I really wanted a chance to keep this job after the holidays and I’m worried this will hurt my chances, even tho they were the ones who sent me away. Do y’all think I should use that app to talk to a doctor and get some kind of confirmation/prescription? I think that would cost less than the doctor.
