Breastfeeding

Bit of a backstory: I had my first baby last year and had low supply when it came to breastfeeding so only lasted a week before we had to use formula. I got badly burnt when I was 5 years old so only have use of one nipple (which is down turned because of scar tissue underneath the nipple) so I was expecting it to be a bit harder but not impossible.

I’m 38 weeks pregnant with my second now and have been told baby has turned breech. We tried an ECV but it wasn’t successful so I’m booked in for a c section on Friday. I’ve tried hand expressing and using a haakaa but I’ve literally got nothing coming out.

Because I’m having a c section this time, will it make breastfeeding even harder now? Will my supply not come in soon enough? I know formula is a great back up but I really wanted to at least get the first week with breastmilk like I did with my first.

Thanks for any advice 😊
