***REPOST TO SOCIAL MEDIA, SHARE TO FRIENDS, LETS TAKE MONEY AWAY FROM THE BIG BUSINESSES WITH INADEQUATE LICE PRODUCTS***
Recently, I stayed over at a friend’s house for the night, and for the first time in my life, I got lice. It was itchy, awful, and overall a horrible experience. But what I learned from it really needs to be shared.
To kill the lice, I bought over the counter Nix lice treatment from the store. I followed the instructions on the box, and did the treatment exactly how it said to do it, and combed, as well as disinfecting the whole house. However, the bugs kept kicking.
So I looked up natural remedies. I read that oil kills lice, so I covered my hair in oil for a night, and then combed again, which did work to kill the lice. However in a few days they had returned again.
So I go to a lice boutique, and what I learned was this...
1) Lice have developed a resistance to nix and other over the counter products. The oil treatment does work to kill them, and the lice comb does get the lice out.
2)The nits are the real problem. They are so small that they are hard to comb out, and if they don’t come out they hatch into more lice.
3) Here are the three numbers that defeat lice: 1,5,11. Day 1, oil and then comb. Day 5, oil and then comb. Day 11, oil and then comb. After each day, straighten your hair like crazy or blow dry it on high heat to overheat the nits and kill them.
I put the info out there, it’s up to you to do something about it. People are paying for products that don’t work, and then pay tons to lice killing places to get rid of them. You CAN do this at home. So please share this, post it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, it doesn’t matter. Let people know that this is possible.
