Pacifier yes or no?

First time mother! 
Don’t know if I want to get my baby onto the pacifier or not. Some say its a life saver some say to avoid it. Need advice/opinions.

Yes. Reduces risk of sids. Just make sure you discontinue when they get teeth to reduce risk of dental issues and speech delays.

My first had one for three months was a life saver. But my second hasn’t had one I don’t plan too. 
Now days it’s advise to try not to give one until at least 4 weeks if breastfeeding

I vote definitely yes!  My first wouldn’t take one and she was a nightmare for the first year. My second takes one and is sooo much easier. Maybe it’s just coincidence but I still vote yes

We did until 4 months per our sleep consultant. Worked like a charm!

We started using one at 2 weeks and it was a game changer. We stopped him cold turkey at 13 months and he never missed it

It is good to help the baby to sleep. My son absolutely hates it, lol. He’d suck on it for a few mins, then spit it out unless he’s very, very sleepy, he’d take it for a lil while then spit it out in his sleep, lol.

My son only takes his pacifier to go to sleep then spits it out. I planned on using it but he doesn’t like it unless he’s trying to sleep lol

We had a paci and she’s 2, we just eliminated it. And by we, I mean we tricked her. 😂 no dental issues.

I would say yes. It reduces the risk of sids and that's a very good reason, soothing is just a bonus.
That being said, NEITHER of my little stinkers would take one. But they wouldn't take bottles either. Very, very picky. I'm hoping my next one will accept both.
