Is my bf trying to control me? I’m scared 😟

I’m a recent grad from college with a bachelor degree. I recently found a job, I complain about how stressful the job and draining is. He told me to quit but I want the experience. Well today we were on the phone and he was preaching to me that I should quit my job because I’m suppose to enjoy my break from school but I’m not(By the way, I decided to take one year break from school before I continue to my masters). Anyways he was saying that I’m suppose to be doing nothing on my break(watching shows). Then, mentioned that I could travel for 2 weeks together with him. He said I could see you when I’m off( he works as a nightshift nurse and is off at random days of the week that I’m working. So we see each other every week or every other week depending on his schedule. So do you think he wants me to quit because it benefits him or is he genuinely care that I’m stressful in my job sometimes.
