Accidents and car seats

So my husband got into an accident, a lady went into his lane. Going maybe 10 mph, wasn’t fast. She hit the driver side front bumper. My kids was in the car with him as I was following behind. Insurance said they will give us a check with the car seats. My question is, should I get new car seats for them if it was such a minor hit? I’m just trying to get guidance on what to do. I will happily get them new car seats. should I call someone like the fire department or even police if I should no matter what kind of accident it was in?
