Bleeding after sex?

Not sure if anyone experienced this but I’m 38 weeks today and after sex I experienced bright red and pink bleeding. I’ve never had any spotting after sex this whole pregnancy so it definitely freaked me out. Talked to the on call doctor and she said if it stopped then I’m probably okay and don’t need to come in.
Did anyone else experience anything like this? Still trying not to feel worried.

Yes, it happened my last pregnancy. As long as it stops your ok

Was is mucous-y? Maybe it was your bloody show

Yes. Sometimes it irritates the cervix - so it causes spotting. It’s actually one of the first things my on call will ask if you’ve done in the last 24 hours if you call for bleeding. If it stopped you’re probably fine mama
