It's your veins under pressure, pregnancy has a habit of giving women piles and varicose veins due to the extra blood. 
I would seek a second opinion, to see if they can give you anything or advise of some lotions to try.

Just poor circulation. The heat from the shower just makes it show more. I had this before being pregnant but it definitely was worse during pregnancy. My swelling got pretty bad too.

I have that in my right foot. Had it since i was 12. I was told its poor circulation

Is it just the one leg? Is it like that all the time, or does it mostly go away if you're off your feet?
I have some extreme vein issues on one leg only (other leg is literally 100% normal) all the time now & my OB sent me for a vein ultrasound to make sure I didn't have DVT (blood clot) because apparently that kind of asymmetry can potentially indicate a clot.

My legs have been doing this before pregnancy and I also have some vericous veins, during pregnancy I'm noticing it's happening more, my doctor suggested compression socks, having your legs propped up, getting enough exercise to help with circulation because it's from poor circulation.
