Anybody else?

Feel like their doctor ISNT taking their pregnancy seriously? I had my first blood work done this past Saturday, and my doctor has not made another appt for me to have more bloodwork done to make sure my levels are rising normally. After bringing this up, I ultimately was ignored. 
I called the office i went to for my first blood draw today, and explained that I wanted another appt to make sure my levels were ok and the lady ultimately just said “ok I’ll make a note about it and get someone to call you back” nobody had called me back 😡
I’ve never been pregnant before but my husband and I tried for months for this baby and I just want to make sure everything is ok since where I live, nothing else will be done between 9-12 weeks. 
I also am in the process of switching insurance, since we’ve moved hours away from my doctor. But I’ve even called around to offices that accept the new insurance and they’re not accepting new patients til January-March🙄🤦‍♀️ 
I’m so at a loss of what to do, and I’ve mentioned that having another appt would put my mind at ease, but nobody seems to care.

I don't think it's normal to have more bloodwork done until you're going in for your glucose test...so it sounds like your doctor isn't doing anything unusual...at least not based on any of my pregnancy experiences.

They don’t normally do repeat levels unless you have a history of miscarriages, just be grateful you don’t fall into that category. Most doctors don’t actually see you until 8-10 weeks. That’s standard procedure that many are unaware of.

Find another doctor. My CNM had me go in 48 hrs after first blood draw (Hcg, progesterone) to make sure levels are doubling like they should.

My doctor only drew levels for my 1st pregnancy due to bleeding. This pregnancy I didn’t have draws to check my levels and I’m even high risk. If you’re not having issues most doctors don’t do draws to check that your hcg is doubling.

Yeah same I don't have an OB yet and I'm 21 weeks, I just see my primary and they've messed up on my blood work like not giving me certain test until my doc brought it up, my chart is all over the place.

Never had HcG blood drawn this time around and I had a previous miscarriage. Positive urine at home and then saw doc for confirmation urine at 8 weeks. No blood for me. I know it’s hard to think they aren’t doing anything but it’s typically the norm. It made me laugh every time I left the doctor up until 35 weeks that it was “see ya in a 4 weeks” just growing a baby. Nothing to do but wait. US at 12 weeks and 21 were my only ones also. No worries, easier said then done I know but try and relax. It’s the best thing you can do for you and baby. Good luck!

Unfortunately that's normal. Unless they have a reason (history of miscarriages, abnormal blood screens etc.) They wont do more than necessary. My doctors didnt take me fainting seriously till I was so bad I couldnt walk or anything for weeks. They made me come in as soon as possible and I had severe HG and was hospitalized for almost a week and now still on medication for it at 29 weeks. Since then they have taken things much much more serious. Any call I have etc they really listen and get right back to me as 99% of my issues have been very very serious. But until then they really didnt worry about anything or take my concerns seriously.

In all three of my pregnancies i didnt get any blood work done til 13 weeks. Not sure why its so drastic to have it done before then multiple times unless uve had multiple miscarriages

I've had multiple hcg checks but only because I was bleeding fairly heavily. I agree with most commenters that it's not standard.
