MIL thinks girls are worthless!

My MIL is so toxic. Horrible human being really. She has a daughter and 6 sons. Her and her daughter don’t get along (because she’s a psycho) but my MIL only favors boys/sons. She’s not married so she finds sons useful to her. She is constantly having one of them fix her vehicle, run errands, renovate her home, etc.

Funny enough, all her sons who have children have ALL GIRLS! I think it’s so funny because she tries to act fake happy when she gets a new granddaughter but she’s really not and barely spends any time with her grandchildren. All the granddaughters cannot stand my MIL.

Welp. I’m pregnant. With fraternal boy-girl twins.

When my MIL heard the news she was getting a grandson she acted like she was having an orgasm or something. She keeps asking me if “I’m still sure it’s a boy” every time she sees me. I remind her that It’s a boy and a GIRL.

We already have one daughter and my MIL never pays her attention or comes to see her. I don’t expect her to give our second daughter anymore attention either. I am concerned about our son. I don’t want her to think her behavior is acceptable and shower him with gifts and attention while she ignores my daughters.

What would you do in this situation?

My MIL is a despicable person (in more ways than one) and for whatever stupid reason hates girls. I honestly feel like just cutting her out of our lives completely or would that be too harsh?
