Do you have a phobia?

I’m not sure if this question firs under this thread and if not I apologize. But do m I’m curious if you guys have a phobia and if not what your opinions are on them? I have emetophobia (intense fear of vomit). My family and friends think it’s ridiculous and truly don’t understand, which I get.

I don't have any phobias, but I do have a handful of pretty intense fears. I think a lot of people don't know the difference between a fear and a phobia and that's why it gets blown off. Even with a fear though, I'd never tell someone to just get over it. That is the least helpful thing ever...🙄

I have the same phobia as you do. Ever since I was little I would shake and cry in panic if I were to feel sick or be around vomit or hear someone vomit or anything relating to vomit. And now I work with addicts so I’m having a tough time but thankfully I have a supportive team so they would clean any initial vomit and I would come and disinfect and mop after. It’s really horrible and then people are like “oh I hate vomit too” like no man it’s not hate it’s terrified

Entomophobia and Arachnophobia. My family also think I'm ridiculous. I even panic if there's an ant on me that won't blow off. I don't go out my way to kill them (except mosquitoes) but I do go into a panic if they come close to me.

I guess I have that phobia too, because I hate vomiting . The last time I ever vomited was when I was pregnant and it was only once . The last time before that was when I was a child . I swear, when I vomit, I feel like I’m gonna die . No joke . I hate it...
I’m also scared of wet loose hair . Like hair that’s attached is okay, but once it’s loose and/or in between my fingers while wet, I’ll freak the fuck out . I’m also scared of moths because of how fast their wings move . Idk, I’m weird lol .

I’m afraid of fish in lakes and the ocean when I’m swimming with them too. Not cute little ones but any that are the size of my forearm or larger. I was snokling when I found out and literally started screaming underwater and swam so fast back to the beach, everyone was staring at me 🤣I’ve tried to reduce this fear by going snorkeling off the beach but as soon as the water gets a little murky or dark I’m like nope nope nope!!
I also have “fear of small holes” I went to google the official name and it totally backfired and I saw a bunch of terrible photos!!! I’m not really “afraid” more like totally disgusted and its hard to look at. The images or things I see stay in my head or just suddenly pop in and I’m like ewwwww!!!!!! Anyway like lotus seed pods (with the seeds still in them are the worst). Google it, I bet it’ll gross you out too! 🤣

Birds. I don't care how big or small. I am terrified of them. People pick on me all the time because I can take on a 2,000 pound bull and not be scared but a little sparrow come near and I run.

Heights. I get really dizzy and freaked out even looking up at a tall building. It isnt really an issue in my day to day life but I think I would be in trouble if I had to work in a tall building. I dont do elevators, I dont like being anywhere near windows in a tall building

I wouldn’t consider mine a phobia, but I absolutely loathe the feeling of dry hands. I literally have lotion stashed everywhere. Same thing with chapstick.
