After baby help?!

Question

So has anyone had to immediately put their child in daycare at the 6 week mark so they could go back to work? 
I haven’t been able to work for the past 2/3 months and it’s led me to fall behind in all my bills. My phone is getting cut off next week and I’m stressing out because baby could come any day now. I really can’t wait to start working again but what am I supposed to do with baby? I honestly don’t want to put her in daycare and I have a friend who can help out with her twice a week but that’s it. All my family lives out of state and my boyfriend is helping as much as he can but he has his own child support to pay and that’s taking up a lot of his money. If I do go a daycare route, whose to say there will be an opening for an infant plus I wouldn’t be able to pay them right away since I’m not working. 😭 I’m so stressed out about this and the closer it gets to baby being born, the more I’m freaking out and becoming overwhelmed. 
I used to be a nanny before I had to stop working (doctors orders) and I was wondering if there were people who would hire you and allow you to bring your child with you? Would you hire someone who had just had a baby to help with your child?

I’m not sure how your daycares / preschools in your city work but in mine your baby must be 8 weeks at least because he/she has to have there first round of shots. I worked at daycares/ preschools and babysitters/ nanny so I’d look into the minimum age at daycares around you. Also as a nanny and babysitter people always allowed me to bring my daughter unless there little ones were sick (to avoid my baby getting sick). I’m not sure if you qualify but I’d look into government assistance for daycare, they could help you get low fees for daycare! Daycares in Arizona are extremely expensive, costing about 200-400 a week depending on age, location and more. Also most daycares will require payments weekly (usually) some time bi weekly, so I’d ask about that at your locate daycares as well about when childcare fees need to be paid. As of signing them up I never paid a fee until it was Friday and find to pay for the week. Smaller daycares may work with you a little better as well. Goodluck!😇

My co worker put her daughter in daycare at 6 week mark! I asked if it was horrible but she just said it is what it is and she didn’t have a choice.... I think you gotta do what you gotta do!

Have you considered working at the daycare? I worked there with my first. Had 50% off tuition and they took it right out of my paycheck so I never had to worry about not paying it and losing care. I had nights, weekends, and holidays off and didn’t need to find sitters. It made it easy because my husband is military and still allowed me to work a flexible job. A lot of county’s do assistance programs too and will give daycare vouchers. Check your area for resources.

I’m not working anymore but before I moved my agreement with the family I nannied for was that I would be able to bring my baby to their home while I watched their 6 year old and 9 year old. I’d been with them for almost 3 years though and I think that was a big part of them allowing that, they trusted me and we had a good relationship. 
Still it wouldn’t hurt to ask around!

I'm currently searching for a nanny and although I'm not interested in one that wants to bring their child with them, there do seem to be a lot that do that. I'm not sure how old their kids are though. Maybe you could start an in home daycare? Would you qualify for state funding help like wic?
