Knowledge is power: ectropions
Hi friends!
So I’ve been spotting on and off since I got pregnant. The baby looked healthy, but I was still worried.
Cut to today: my dr examined me and went “oh my god!” and, after checking if it was okay with me, called my boyfriend over to show him my ectropions.
So I’d never heard the name before, but I’ve been Googling it like crazy since, and it’s super common and is responsible for 90% of bleeding in the 2nd and 3rd trimester.
Anyhoo, it’s nothing, it’s not even a condition, but it will bleed, and I’ve got a bunch (hence the “oh my god!”).
So yeah, my bf just asked how my “vaginal acnea or is it leprosy?” (haha) was doing a moment ago, but we’re super happy and reassured and I wanted to share the info with you.
