Can I put a prefold on top of a pocket diaper?

I'm wondering if I can do like a diaper cover with prefold thing with a pocket diaper?   I'd put the insert in the pocket, and then against baby's skin, a prefold.  I know it'd be extra bulky.   Has anyone tried this?

Did you know you can put the inserts on top of the pocket and then sometimes you can reuse the cover unless its leaked or got soiled...I do this if we're at home and then I just change the insert more regularly x
