Ovulation pain, negative OPK

I’m having what I think is ovulation pain, which should indicate ovulation is soon, right? I have a negative opk and the app predicts ovulation on the 26th so maybe it’s too early,

This is our first month TTC and I don’t think I always get ovulation pain or maybe I just typically ignore it, but I know i’ve noticed it before and today I have been having a pinpointed pain in my lower right abdomen and it had been kinda an uncomfortable pang all morning and it wasn’t until i stopped and thought about what was going on did i realize that it may be ovulation pain.

My general question is that if it is ovulation pain, should i get a positive opk and should we getting to it, or could we still have a few days? Will probably get to it just in case though 😂
