My 2 year old (3 in January) will not go to sleep in his own bed anymore. He has always slept in his own bed but last week he freaked out about being in his room I thought oh maybe he had a bad dream so I laid down with him but that didn’t work and he ended up sleeping in our bed. He’s mostly no verbal (he has childhood apraxia of speech) so he can’t tell us why he won’t sleep in his room he just screams and cries. He does understand a lot and there’s a lot of changes happening currently (new speech therapy starting preschool in January daddy has to go to Germany for a month) so Im wondering if he understands this and is afraid we are leaving him? Or maybe separation anxiety? Basically I’m just wondering if anyone else has gone thru this and if it’s just a phase because having him in our bed is exhausting 🤦🏻‍♀️
