How do you know if your bleeding post partum is just from labor or your actual period returning? 
I’m 6 weeks pp- bled/spotted about 2-3 weeks then nothing. A few days ago I started bleeding and it’s super heavy bright red blood. I’m worried something is wrong!

That’s your period yu stop bleeding and then start back the next month

As long as you are feeling ok and not soaking more than 1 night time pad worth in an hour, then you should be ok. More than that or if u feel faint or generally icky then that would be good to go in to get checked out

That’s what happened to me and it was my period. I alerted my midwife just to be safe but then it lasted the regular course of a period so I figured out that’s what it was 😕
