My poor 3 week old has diaper rash. He had it before we left the hospital but it cleared up with the diaper cream I was using. Now he has it again but it’s worse. I started using the cream as soon as I saw it starting. I also always use Kleenex after wiping with a wipe (sensitive) to dry up the skin so that moister isn’t trapped in the diaper. I also change him regularly as I don’t want him sitting in soiled diapers. The rash is pretty bad this time that a little blood is seen on the wipes when I wipe him after poops. Would it be better to do a bath after each poop as it might be more gentle on his bum/skin?
