I had a black cat named Eva. I found her when she was just a kitten. I was seeing this guy at the time and she stayed with him because I was living on campus and didn’t have a place for her. However, I broke up with him a few weeks ago because he was toxic, and he wouldn’t give me Eva. So now she’s living with him. I miss her very much, but I don’t dream about her often. I had a dream about a black cat a few weeks ago, and a few days ago I had another. In this dream I was in the dorm and my friends went out so I was all alone, and all of a sudden this black c at ran into my room. She bit me a few times (but I didn’t back down), and soon she curled up to me and was laying on my chest. I asked her who she was, what her name was, and she replied to me (wild I know) and said, “My name is Eleni (then the rest of my name) I am you and you are me.” Some other things happened in the dream but that was the most profound part. She was taken away from me again. I was looking up black cat dream meanings but they’re all so negative, and I know this wasn’t a negative dream.

Does anyone have any idea of what this means? Or even a somewhat positive interpretation of seeing a black cat in your dream? I’m kind of going through a hard time right now, my dreams have been extremely vivid, I’m trying to really get to know myself again.
