So last night was my second night taking glyburide, the first night I got some hotflashes but I was able to go back to sleep.. the second night (last night) was a nightmare. I took it at nine after my snack and by 12 I woke up sweating, my blood pressure was 145/? With a pulse of 110, (my blood pressure is never that high).And my sugar had dropped to 50. I could hardly talk I was so shaky all I could do was hollar for my husband and ask him to bring me a yogurt, I checked my sugar again 10-15 minutes later and it had rose to 89 and I started to feel better. If I wasn’t able to get it under control myself I was about seconds away from going to the er. This morning I woke up and called my dr and she said definitely don’t take that anymore and that she was going to switch me to metformin. I’ve heard it can cause stomach issues. Anyone else had experience with metformin? What are some of the side effects y’all have experienced? I’m pretty traumatized after last night! Ugh.
