long story short, my cousin was raped by a trusted adult/family member last year that permanently damaged her physically, and emotionally, amongst other things. she’s just starting to tell family about it now, she hasn’t told me yet but my mom has (just so i know how important it is to stay away from that family member because we live in the same town and bump into eachother) so when she does tell me, what should i say? i don’t want to accidentally say anything wrong, i know i’ll tell her that i love her and will stand by her no matter what she decides to do (get him arrested or not). do you guys have anything else i should say? i really need help, please help me!!
