Is this labor?

I’m a ftm && 38 weeks. Since about 4 am my back started hurting progressively got worse. Around 5:30 I went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was a streak of blood but nothing too bad. I then started cramping in the front as well. It’s painful but bearable. I have a dr appt today so I’m trying to wait it out, but I’m in pain. I don’t want to go to L&D just to be sent home(hospital is 45 minutes away).

Sounds like early stages of labor/bloody show. I wouldn't be in a rush to go to L&D. I like to wait until I'm in active labor so I can labor at home as much as possible. Certainly, go to your appointment today and they can check you and recommend next steps.

Try drinking lots of fluids and walking around. If that doesnt help it could be early labor but no need to rush to hospital. Its better/more comfortable to labor at home id wait till my appt

Sounds exactly like my labor. Lol. Mine started very early on a Sunday morning and by Sunday night I was in the hospital. Good luck! I tried to make it to my Monday doctor appointment but it didn't work out. Lol.

Definitely wait it out until your appointment! Take a nice long shower and try to relax before then if you can!

I would start timing because it sounds like contractions and maybe your bloody show? I would also call the on call doctor/midwife and stay hydrated. What time is your appointment?
