Update! My csection got bumped by 4 days!!

Update: so abt 1.5 hours before my scheduled arrival time for my csection labor and delivery called to let me know my csection had been canceled! They said "oh go ahead and eat." But they couldn't tell me when I was to be rescheduled for. So i called my dr. Office to verify, and abt an hour later they called me back to let me know that the next available spot was for this friday. So it looks like he will be a January baby after all. Needless to say, i am so very disappointed. I am a college student and my classes start on Jan. 8th, also last week I was told this boy was already measuring 9lbs4oz, which is why I opted for the csection...sigh...so now we wait again...

Well I made it to my scheduled csection day! Check in is at 10am, then surgery is to start at 12pm. Csection and tubal ligation. As of last monday baby weighed in at 9lbs4oz according to the ultrasound, so I am excited to meet this chunky little guy. I am anxious about the actual csection part though. This is my 5th son, but the rest were born vaginal with an epidural. So being awake during the csection is terrifying to me.

Anyone have any positive csection stories? Abt the actual time spent during the surgery? I guess my fear is feeling pain during the procedure, which I know is not supposed to happen.
