Toddler kicking your belly while pregnant? How to stop it?

My girl is 15 months. I’m 9 weeks pregnant now. She keeps kicking, jumping, hitting my belly to the point where it’s super sensitive now. How do I get this to stop??

You just need to be more proactive/defensive and stop it before it happens.

Grab her hands or feet in your hands and say “No! We don’t hit/kick each other.” If she continues, put her down and walk away for a minute or two. Tell her you don’t want to play/hold her/whatever when she isn’t using “nice hands/feet”

Firmly say no hitting/kicking and walk away. 
Or if they hit/kick because they're excited (my son would do this during diaper changes) redirect to clap their hands instead of kicking feet.

Also show her how to touch your belly.  Kids learn better what TO DO than what NOT TO DO. a firm ouch that hurts mommy please don’t hit and kick is important too but follow up with how she can interact with your belly and her new sibling

Can you explain it to her something along the lines of~  your baby lives in your belly right now until its big enough to come out and see her. She's hurting baby by kicking baby's home and we have to be nice to baby.

Toddlers aren’t doing things to be mean. This just happens with my son during play or excitement or frustration. Other commenters saying things suggesting you tell the toddler to be “nice” is casting an unnecessary tone of judging the actions goodness or badness when it’s just an impulsive and not malicious act. Its thinking with an adult brain about a toddler action. Like another commenter said, toddlers learn so much when we frame it as what TO do rather than what NOT to do. I say “ouch, please be gentle on my belly , I’m growing a baby in there” and demonstrate gentle touches.

I’m having the same thing (15m son). He LOVES to climb over me and cuddle and sit on my lap which sounds nice but he’s so clumsy doing it. He then gets super excited and hits me. I typically tell him ‘no’ and the guide his hands to stroke my belly or lightly tap it and say ‘nicely’ when he then softly does himself when I let go. It takes time but it’s working slowly (I’m 11w +5)

You could just be a parent and tell your child this is unacceptable behavior? I don't let my daughter do that regardless of pregnancy. Now, being pregnant, we educate her and communicate to her that there's a baby in there so we have to be a little extra careful. Your child isn't going to magically stop unless you actually parent her and educate her.
