No but it absolutely can happen. I have 4 kids, all ebf, and got my period around 8 weeks pp and from then on....which means I ovulated for the first time around 6 weeks pp. Since your first ovulation will happen unexpectedly before your first period, you can definitely get pregnant while breastfeeding

No but I definitely know people who have gotten pregnant while EBF! I think it totally depends on your body, some people. Have annovulatory cycles sporadically so they are less likely to get pregnant postpartum (this evens out eventually) and all that so for some the risk is lower but there is no way to tell when your period comes back and therefore when you're fertile. If you aren't ready for the possibility of another tiny human yet then definitely use some sort of protection. Some people are actually super fertile postpartum.

My period came back 9 weeks pp, and despite breastfeeding was pretty consistent. I got pregnant around 4 months pp, still breastfeeding. Although my supply TANKED the second I got pregnant, so that sucked.
