Second time mom here. It is not necessary and it is not safe for sleep!!!!! A quick google search will bring up multiple sources confirming this. It’s fine to use while baby is a awake and/or 100% supervised but I found that a nice floor mat is better. It encourages them to roll and scoot and eventually crawl. It might be nice for when they want to snuggle and you need to get something done because newborns do like that feeling of “edges” to their space, but there are other, waaaaay cheaper options. And again, it’s not safe for sleep, so you’ll have to move them soon anyways.

Never had one and I have 3 kids already. Don’t see the point in them and they are not safe for sleep and I get some people want to say that they will be supervised and blah blah blah but than why not lay them down in a bassinet which is safer. Just a waste of money in my opinion.

It is NOT safe for sleep and I absolutely would not put my baby in one. A swaddle in a bassinet is all we did with our first and all we will do with our second.

Second time mom here and it’s definitely not necessary! Every kid is different and our first wouldn’t sleep ANYWHERE except his crib 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m going to try the whole bassinet beside me thing again this time but it honestly was so much easier having him in his crib from the start!

It's definitely not a necessity, but we did use ours a lot with my son.

It was a lifesaver for us. Our first wouldn’t sleep in ANYTHING except mom or that. I suggest you wait until the baby is born before investing. We lended it to several friends after baby 1 and plan to use it with baby 2.

It’s not a necessity but I think it would be nice to have we got a snuggle me on sale during Black Friday because it was a lot cheaper than the dock a tot

I wouldnt pay full price for one - but we loved ours with our first. Every baby is a little different, so will see what our 2nd thinks of it. My mom found one on sale at Marshall's, so we scored.
