Vitex during pregnancy ?

I took vitex to regulate my period prior to pregnancy and after finding out I was pregnant I stopped taking it. Should I not continue to take it? Is it safe?

I have read that one should continue throughout first trimester, it helps keep the progesterone levels up.  Which is what I took it for until the end of first trimester. Anything hormonally related we don't want to stop immediately, so be careful with that.

It is safe in the first trimester if progesterone is low - but ask someone qualified to give this advice like a naturopath or herbalist
