Why do I keep getting yeast infection

Question

Every month for the past 3 months I got a yeast infection. Can’t get an appointment with the doctor until next week so I will just treat with Monistat this time around. But any idea why I keep getting them? I’m 23 and I have never had this issue. Same sex partner for 3 years. Tested regularly for STDS. I shower daily. Cotton panties. 
I’m so sick of getting them. Help please lol

Do eat/drink a lot of sugar? Drinking a lot of water and having a healthy(ier) diet can help. It can also be kind of hereditary. Do you know if your mom gets them a lot? If she does, then more than likely you will too. But a LOT of water should help.

I wish i could know, almost 2 years and I'm still getting them every month. I've been to 3 Different gyns and no help. They don't do anything but prescribe antifungal. Monistat is your best bet, i still use it and helps everytime. Sometimes canesten. It doesn't cause imbalance of yeast all over the body because it kills the infection only locally where you need it. 
Diet doesn't help. I've tried eating healthy and no sugar and i still got them. Probiotics didn't do anything to me except made me poop 3 times per day💩😐
If you are on birth control that can cause them too. 
Some things that can help are 
- using condoms(his fluids can cause your ph to throw off even if he doesn't come) 
-water based lube (being dry down there can cause yeast too) but no flavored lubes or the ones with tingling sensations lol! 
-wearing only cotton granny panties(i used to love those lacy undies and they never gave me a problem but I had to say a goodbye to them lol😭)
-wash undies on hot water setting (i use the 60degrees because 90 is too much and ruins the panties)
- use only water to wash down there and NEVER douche. No soaps, nothing that promises flowery smell, even if it says ph balanced it's all marketing for women. Same goes to feminine wipes (full of chemicals) read the back of the products always. 
-unscented & uncolored  pads/toilet paper.
-don't use daily pantiliners.
-if you use tampons try switching to pads or the cup to see if that helps. 
Coming from a person who spent 2 years researching yeast infections. Nothing of this helped me in the long run 🤷🏻‍♀️😭 but I'm glad if it helps you or someone. ❤️

Is he cumming in you? That could throw off your ph levels. Maybe try condoms. Or if you use lube? Maybe a different one or water based like astroglide nothing that heats up or is flavored that’s an infection waiting to happen. Maybe the detergent or soap or lotions. Diet. Stress. Soooo many things can throw things off down there. Medications that you take. Birth control. Etc.

Get yourself on probiotics and eat a lot of yogurt, cut excess sugar out of your diet and drink water like you’re a fish.

You either never got rid of it in the first place, so that's why it seems like it keeps coming back. Or there is an underlying health issue if you are doing everything else correct. 
Get monistat 7 day. Since its recurrent, dont be surprised if you may have to use it more then once.

Ok first of all diet does nothing. I eat A LOT of sugar and don’t have that issue. When I had gotten a yeast infection I wasn’t properly diagnosed and it kept coming back. It didn’t go away until they gave me the little pink pill. Haven’t had one since. I notice if I don’t drink much water I start feeling as if I’m going to be getting one. 
I asked my dr what I can do differently. She said there’s no way to prevent it. It’s a natural occurrent, it happens.

I agree with the diet changes .
I use to be just like you described . Out of no where I started getting year infections back to back. 
After a few months I was so sick of it that I went and researched the crap out of it. Many websites say to change your diet.
Eating more alkaline based foods , drinking more water and eating live culture yogurts , will tremendously lower your risk for a repeat yeast infection.
Along with that , working out will also improve your metabolism and help lower chances of repeat yeast infections.
I have not had one since about 2 years ago when I decided to significantly improve my lifestyle, my diet and even my sleep patterns .
