Doctor doesn’t tell me anything 🙄

Anyone else’s doctor super short and doesn’t give any info? I usually see a midwife and she measures my belly every week and checks the heartbeat. I was in for an NST today and saw the actual doctor and he literally came in, looked at the paper it printed out, said “looks good, see you next week” and walked out 😒 i feel like i don’t know anything about my baby because if i ask my midwife how big she thinks she is she says “i don’t want to tell you a number because it could be off by a couple pounds” and i asked if I’d ever be checked and they said “if you really want to we will but it doesn’t really mean anything to be dilated”. I’m only 36 weeks but it’s super frustrating because i feel so clueless!
