Baby #???

Ok y’all, my husband is already talking about having our next child. I would love to wait at least another year, I feel like 2 under 2 is A LOT. what do you all think?

I had two under two. It was HARD. 
You think after one you are ready, but every baby is so different you can't predict how it will be. For some, it's a dream and baby is super easy and kids get along, etc. 
For me, my baby had terrible colic for MONTHS. I needed constant help from family because I literally had no time away from trying to soothe my new baby to help my toddler with alot. It's just now getting better at 9 months where it seemed like it was a good idea 😂
In my opinion, 2.5-3 years apart would have been a much better gap. Especially because the "terrific/terrible twos" is a real phase and that's hard helping through with a baby. 
But like I said, everyone and every baby is different and there are people who could come on and say I'm wrong on all this, but this is literally my experience and everyone will have a different one. 
If you choose to have another, I hope it is easier for you 🤞❤️

I am on the fence lol there are some nights where I’m like, “let’s make a baby!” But then when my little one has a real fussy day I’m like thank god there’s only one haha

To give you some alternative views to the other replies- 
We just started trying this month. So closest they’d be is like 18 months (if we got pregnant our first cycle trying). So yes technically 2 under 2 but we also realize it may take a little while. 
We wanted them close because we only want 2 and while we realize it will be very very hard, we’d rather rip the bandaid off and get through the crazy newborn with a toddler stage now.  We felt like it would be even harder for us if we spaced the babies out and just start emerging from diaper/ baby/ crazy time that it will be that much harder for us to dive back in and have a new baby. 
I read somewhere on this debate- it’s Better to run through fire than walk right?
So ya this are our reasons...And we will see when we do get pregnant how close they will be.

We plan to wait until she is between 3 and 5. Partially to give us some time, but also to let her be a baby first. We want her to enjoy being a little one and not have to fight for our attention at such a young age. Plus, we want to enjoy every baby stage with her.

Same over here. He’s ready N O W but I’m just starting to get decent sleep lol maybe in another six months. I’m also still breastfeeding, I hear being pregnant can dry up your supply so that worries me.

Mine are 2.5 and it’s a great gap. My daughter was old enough when my son was born to do basic things without my help (get on shoes, get a snack, etc) and now that she’s 3 and he’s 9 months she’s really big. It would be hard to have to do all the things for all the kids I think.

I have a 2 year old and 9 month old. 
The first few weeks, and even months, were hard. Sometimes I still want to pull my hair out, but I LOVE how close they are and how much they already love each other. 
My husband and his brother are 20 months apart and they grew up really close. I’m excited to see my littles grow up with that closeness as well.

After having this first baby my husband said, "one is good" 🤣. Coming from the one who does 10% of the childcare work. He has said let's just do it again now and get it over with but I can't fathom doing this again already. I want to breastfeed longer and don't want to risk that by getting pregnant. My body also still hasn't fully recovered and this kid still doesn't sleep through the night. If I got pregnant right now, it would be about the worst prenatal environment ever. I'm thinking I'd like them to be about 2.5-3 years apart. I'm also not young (turning 35 in March), so that's also something to consider. Two kids seems like plenty, though, so having the second when I'm 36 doesn't seem too crazy.
