How did you cope with your baby being in the NICU?
I just had my second baby and she was born a month early. She is doing well so far but has to stay in the NICU until she can regulate her own temperature, prove she can feed and gain weight on her own and has no issues with breathing. We are able to visit lots but it’s so hard not having her with us like we did with our first. It’s hard watching the extra interventions too. I can’t stop crying and to make matters worse we weren’t able to get a private room at the hospital because they were all full and the person I’m rooming with has their baby with them. I’m obviously happy for them that their baby is happy and healthy but it’s so hard hearing them get to talk and cuddle with their baby while mine is stuck in an incubator. Any words of advice?
