PCOS, endometriosis, ...?
I finally got my period after it being a week and a half late and I had mild cramps for 3-4 days before it actually started. The cramping got worse after I started bleeding so I took a Tylenol and slept through the night fine. This morning my pain woke me up, excruciating. I tried to ignore it and fall back asleep (like I usually do) but that didn't work. So I got in the shower hoping the heat would help but standing just made it worse. I dried myself off in the shower and in the amount of time it took for me to get out, wrap the towel around me, and look for a tampon I already bled all over the bathroom rug and down my legs. This is NOT normal for me. Usually I'll go through 2 tampons the entire day (only changing because its not supposed to be in for any longer) then sleep with a pad on. And I have NEVER had pain like this before. This has had me crying, curled up in a ball on the couch for an hour now. I took an ibuprofen and it helped a little but I'm afraid to even stand up again.
Is it normal for a period to change so suddenly like this? I didn't do anything out of the ordinary or anything to try and bring it on despite it being late. Could this be symptoms of something more serious like PCOS, endometriosis, etc?
